Come get started on an exciting adventure of learning to play the drums!

My name is Gregg Eckersen and I was born in Daytona Beach and have been a life long resident of this area. Like most drummers my interest in drums began when I was a small child.  I would collect empty coffee cans and gather a couple sticks from the yard and "make a joyful noise". When I was in elementary school I joined the school band and learned to play the snare drum and other percussion instruments. At the age of 14, I joined my first "garage band". Our first gig was at "Skateland". We received $5.00 per man. Since then I have been in countless numbers of bands and played at many different venues in and around the Daytona area. In 2005 I started the Daytona chapter of  "Drummers for Jesus" of which I am still the chapter leader.

I am currently enrolling new students of all ages and skill levels at very affordable rates.   I am a registered Drumsense instructor. Drumsense is an internationally acclaimed teaching program that uses a proven method based on books and playalong material by contemporary players and teachers. You can visit the Drumsense web site at www.drumsense.com . I am also a Drumeo approved drum teacher and have had a  background check.

I have a fully equipped studio with multiple drum sets to accomodate all ages.  My studio is equipped with a sound system for playalong music and other valuable teaching tools that I use that make the learning experience fun.   My studio is located at 414 Acacia Circle, Port Orange ,Fl. 32127
